As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, Bayport Savings & Loans Plc has donated 100 dual desks to Obuasi Senior High Technical School. This gesture marks a return to Bayport’s roots, as the company originally launched its operations in Obuasi.
The donation ceremony, held at the school, was attended by the senior housemaster, students, and key community leaders. They expressed their appreciation for the much-needed desks, which will significantly improve the learning environment for the students. The desks will provide comfortable seating for hundreds of students, enhancing their educational experience.
The Senior Housemaster of Obuasi Senior High Technical School, Mr. Mohammed Mustapha expressed his gratitude, stating, “This donation could not have come at a better time. It will make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students and help foster a better learning environment.”
Candice Owusu Adjei, Head of Brand, Marketing, and Communication at Bayport, highlighted the company’s commitment to giving back to the community where it began.
