Employees of Bayport Savings and Loans Demonstrate Commitment to Community
As part of its 20th-year anniversary initiatives, Bayport Savings and Loans has undertaken a philanthropic endeavor aimed at positively impacting the lives of underprivileged children.
On September 5, 2023, during the second edition of the Bayport Employee-led CSR initiative, Bayport embarked on a generous donation project benefiting children at two important orphanages: the Haven of Hope Foundation in Medie, Nsawam, and the Nectar Foundation in Krobo Odumase, Eastern Region.
At the Haven of Hope Foundation, we proudly donated twenty (20) laptops to enhance the educational opportunities for the children. Additionally, the Nectar Foundation received ten (10) laptops, along with a diverse range of essential supplies, including toiletries, gently used clothing and shoes, stationery, food items, detergents, and more.
In a significant commitment to furthering education, Bayport Ghana also extended a scholarship to Joshua Kerley Doku, a student at the Nectar Foundation. This scholarship will cover his tertiary education fees and related expenses as he embarks on a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Technology in Information Communication Technology.
It is important to highlight that Bayport Ghana has a longstanding tradition of engaging in various corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities as part of our commitment to giving back to our community. The dedication and goodwill of our employees inspired the inception of the Bayport Employee-led CSR initiative, which allows our team members to make personal contributions annually. These contributions are pooled and thoughtfully utilized to create meaningful and positive impacts, exemplified by initiatives such as this one within our community.
During the presentation, Mr. Appiah Agyeman, Head of People and Culture at Bayport, underscored the unwavering dedication of Bayport employees in annually mobilizing resources with the aim of fostering lasting and positive change within the community.
