Bayport Savings and Loans PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to community development and social responsibility through a generous donation to the Show Your Love Orphanage in Agona Swedru, Central Region.
The People and Culture Department of Bayport, which champions staff welfare and engagement, organized a heartfelt donation exercise that brought together employees and Sales Executives from across the country to share love, care, and hope with children at a local orphanage.
This marks the third edition of the initiative, dubbed “BayCare,” which has positively impacted four orphanages since its inception in 2023.
The donations included groceries, toiletries, bedding, learning materials, clothing, footballs, classroom furniture, as well as indoor and outdoor play equipment. In addition, the team undertook renovation works to give parts of the orphanage a much-needed facelift, creating a more comfortable and welcoming environment for the children. A cash donation was also presented to support the home’s ongoing needs.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Agyeman Appiah Jnr, Head of People & Culture at Bayport, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all employees who contributed to the initiative. He commended the collective effort and generosity of staff, emphasizing Bayport’s continued commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
“At Bayport, we believe that making a difference goes beyond financial empowerment. It is also about showing compassion and being there for communities that need support the most,” the team noted.
The management of Show Your Love Orphanage expressed deep gratitude for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. They highlighted that the gesture would greatly improve the comfort and well-being of the children in their care.
