As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting financial literacy and career guidance among the youth, Bayport Savings and Loans visited Business Senior High School in
Tamale on Friday, 9th May 2025.

Azunre Gifty Sugri is my name and a beneficiary of the Bayport Scholarship Scheme since 2012. I was in Kumasi Wesley Girls’ High School for 3 years and proceeded to study Medicine at the University for Development Studies for a duration of 7 years. Throughout this period, the scholarship catered for all my fees. Coming from a home where life was tough, this lifted a heavy burden off my mother’s shoulders. Currently, I work as a doctor at the Ho Teaching Hospital, and I am grateful to Bayport Savings and Loans for immensely supporting my education and for making my dream of becoming a doctor a reality. My name is Faith Asasenkasa, and I joined the Bayport Scholarship Scheme in 2012. The scholarship catered for all my fees including PTA dues during my three years in Senior High School and all my fees throughout my six years of medical education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology including academic fees, accommodation, payment for medical equipment and textbooks and also paid for my temporary registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council after my completion. This gave me the peace of mind to focus on my education. I am currently a House Officer at the Ho Teaching Hospital, and I am grateful to Bayport Savings and Loans for immensely supporting my education and helping me come this far in life.

This is Theophilus Sowah a Teacher at Adubiasi Presby Primary. Without the recent loan I took I could have easily lost my father. We needed money badly to pay his hospital bills and all hope was almost lost when I decided to call my agent at the Head Office. My affordability could only give me a specific amount but trust me the payment was made same day, and we were able to pay for his bills. I am forever grateful for the timely assistance from Bayport to support.

I’m Elizabeth and work with Ghana Immigration Service. I needed a start-up capital for my business and wanted a place where I can get loan swiftly. A friend gave me the Head Office number to call.
