As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting financial literacy and career guidance among the youth, Bayport Savings and Loans visited Business Senior High School in Tamale on Friday, 9th May 2025. The outreach, which impacted over 1,200 students, formed part of Bayport’s broader national initiative to equip young people with essential life skills.
Since 2023, Bayport has been a strong advocate for financial literacy and career
development, reaching students in various regions through school-based programs.
The Tamale engagement featured two main sessions:
- A Career Guidance Workshop facilitated by partners from the Virtual Career
Office, guiding students to explore their purpose, identify their strengths and
skills, and focusing on creating impact and legacy. - A Financial Literacy Workshop led by a financial literacy advocate and employee – Desmond Adote, where students learned practical budgeting techniques, helping them understand how to plan, save, and make informed financial decisions even at a youthful age
In a gesture of support for the school’s academic efforts, Bayport also donated a
projector and projector screen to enhance teaching and learning experiences. The Headmaster, Mr. Alhasan Mohammed Saani, expressed his appreciation, describing the donation as “timely and essential,” especially for subjects such as oral English that rely heavily on audio-visual resources.
Bayport remains committed to empowering the next generation of Ghanaians, fostering financial inclusion, and contributing meaningfully to community development across the country.
