Bayport Ghana has delivered a record first half of 2026, surpassing its full-year 2025 profit in just six months. With stronger deposits, improved credit quality and increased operational efficiency, the results reinforce the strength and sustainability of Bayport’s growth strategy.

Bayport Savings and Loans PLC delivered a strong performance in the first half of 2026, with profit before tax reaching GH¢118.3 million and total assets growing to GH¢2.44 billion. Supported by strong deposit growth, improved credit quality and greater operating efficiency, Bayport also strengthened its position in Ghana’s government payroll market, reaching a 33% market share.

Bayport Ghana sponsored the 8th National Women’s Summit & Expo 2026, held on 13 March at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra, reinforcing its commitment to women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and sustainable community development under the theme “Give to Gain.”

On Wednesday, 18 March 2026, the ABSA–UPSA Law School Quarterly Banking Roundtable XIII took place at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra, bringing together regulators, industry leaders, and financial sector practitioners to discuss regulatory reforms shaping Ghana’s non-bank financial sector under the theme “Regulating Microfinance in the Age of Fraud: Restoring Confidence and Growth.”

Binguri David Laar is a technical teacher in the upper eastern region of Bongo in Ghana. His meagre teacher’s salary was barely sufficient to support his wife and daughter and they were struggling to survive. Binguri’s wife owns and runs a small trading store, but without the necessary financial resources, the shop was unable to expand.
