Bayport Savings and Loans has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Ghana Armed Forces with the commissioning of a newly constructed toilet facility at the Army Combat Training School (ACTS) in Teshie on Friday.
As part of efforts to improve sanitation and convenience for trainees, Bayport donated a 5,000-litre water tank, four water closets, two basins, and three urinal pots to complement the infrastructure. The donation forms part of Bayport’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives aimed at driving community impact.
Speaking at the event, Colonel Robert Narh, Commandant of ACTS, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bayport for their support. He explained that until now, students had to leave the classroom and walk back to their residential accommodations to access washroom facilities — a significant challenge during training sessions. The new facility, located closer to the classrooms, will now provide essential relief and convenience for trainees and instructors alike. He also acknowledged Mr. Bernard Kwaku Sackitey b (Benoo), President of Worldwide Evangelism Service (WES) and Lieutenant Colonel Frank Adams, Commanding
Officer of the 1 Infantry Battalion at Michel Camp who also contributed building materials towards the project. Bayport’s Head of Commercial, Mr. George Antoh, reaffirmed the institution’s long-term commitment to the Ghana Armed Forces, stating that Bayport has adopted ACTS and will continue to support and maintain the facility for the foreseeable future.
This project reflects Bayport’s dedication to contributing meaningfully to society and supporting institutions that play a critical role in our line of operations.
